I was thinking about the inefficiencies of eating and cooking for one. More and more Americans live alone. Fewer and fewer cook at home. Fewer and fewer people even know how to cook, but there are more and more cooking shows and pictures of food and exploit cooking all over social media. Dustin Guastella wrote about the anti-social nature of Socialists and Progressives. Anti-family Leftists deplore the family when family as a social unit that eats together is fast disappearing.

I recently quizzed my students about their food shopping and eating habits and very few of them cook because they live alone or with roommates with whom they don’t share food and cooking. It’s just cheaper for them to go to In-n-Out and other fast food outlets than to buy fresh ingredients, turn on their gas stoves and make themselves a burger and fries.
