I really haven’t seen any evidence that “travel opens your mind.” The people who have traveled a lot have the means and the time to go to the New York Times Bucket list of world wide attractions. It used to be that Paris was the destination of choice for the moneyed classes, but it became too — basic. Morocco is high on the luxury travel bucket list, as is Egypt. carefully curated African safaris, Galapagos Islands cruises. Even though the White Lotus series is meant to be a stomach turner for luxury tourism, it might just be advertising for only eating in your resort restaurant.
